We had a room full of people who care deeply about Vacy, what it stands for, the people we live, work and play alongside, and what it could be in the future. The kids once again stole the show, putting the spark into planning and reminding us all of why it’s important.

For those who couldn’t make it, there’s 3 mains ways to show up and be part of the conversation! See below.

BIG Thankyous: Peter Kenyon (our facilitator), Steph Walsh (from Rural Aid), Jim Doyle (for all his heart-work), the Vacy General Store (your catering is the best around!) and to everyone who’s cheered the Community Builders program on and/or been part of the action (you are incredible).

Brian's Walsh's new book was launched by the Mayor of Dungog, Digby Rayward and a crowd of eager local history buffs at Gresford Bowling Club on Sunday. The book is published by Paterson Historical Society.

It covers the people and places along the Paterson River between Gresford and Carrabolla. The book reveals how a whole new European Society emerged along the river from the 1820s, albeit at the expense of the dispossession of Aboriginal people.

It is available for sale here.
