The show has a legancy going back to 1925 when the Gresford community formed the "Allyn and Paterson Rivers and District Agricultural Horticultural and Pastoral Association," which later became GDAS. It now features over 270 horse show classes, a competitive camp draft, cattle classes, and diverse arts, crafts, and cooking displays. It's a highlight of the district event calendar.
