Gresford began their planning journey in 2023. They have a formal strategic plan in place and are making incredible progress.

Key Achievements so far:

​

• advocating to Rural Aid for the implementation of the Community Builders Program int he Upper Hunter (thank you!!!)

​​

• GRAND opening of the Gresford Community Gallery

​​

• lots of interest in the Dungog Shire Kokoda Trail trip happening in July 2025

​​

• regularly identify and connect individuals with leadership development opportunities

​​

• regular and well attended community dinners

​

• magnificent enhancements to the arboretum and botanical gardens area (see murals below)

​

Progress on the plan has been achieved through the collaboration of local community groups and individuals, as well as Dungog Shire Council.
