BROADER DISTRICT
Each smaller town in the district and surrounding areas will collaborate on key aspects of their plans where it makes sense to join forces, while still preserving their unique identities. By sharing resources and skills, we can strengthen both local initiatives and regional goals for the benefit of everyone.
Current District Collaboration Projects

-
Uniting around a regional identity - with early discussions indicating the platypus would be a great icon! Returning to our river systems in numbers over the last few decades after much work to restore and protect riparian zones, they represent an environmental success story we could all get behind! Stroud Community Builders are taking the lead, with potential involvement from the 4 Valleys Program. We're working on putting some shape around this asap, so regular progress can be shared, key collaboration/co-ordination contacts are clear and community consultation can begin. Updates via Stroud (below).
