Here’s how we’re making it happen—step by step:

  1. Gather broad feedback from the community on their village vision🗓️ Until 30th March 2025

  2. Condense into key themes and actions based on which suggestions have broad community support and where the energy is 🗓️ By 13th April 2025

  3. Form a draft plan and get community feedback (including what to do with the $10K)🗓️ By 27th April 2025

  4. Use that feedback to polish the plan and publish it 🗓️ Due 11th May 2025

  5. Get Sh#t Done! 🎉

What’s Been Accomplished So Far?

We’ve hit the ground running with some fantastic community events:

✅ 20+ Rural Aid talks & info sessions across the Shire (June 2024 - Nov 2025)

✅ Vacy Historical Walk & Talk (2nd Feb)

✅ Business Breakfast (12th March)

✅ Vacy Public School BIG Ideas Session (14th March)

✅ Vacy Town Hall Workshop (16th March)

✅ Mini brainstorm with Steph from Rural Aid (18th March)

✅ Focus conversation & walk for a multipurpose play area/hub (18th March)

✅ Engagement with council on how we can work together

What’s Being Actioned Right Now?

  • 🔌 Talking to council about turning off the lights at the Vacy Village development until homes are built

  • 🎣 Planning a Local Carp Muster (pencil in Sunday 27th April)

  • 🎙️ Supporting Cameron Archer to do a podcast with Dr. James Miller a member of the Gringai Clan of the Wonnarua Nation, to learn more and preserve our living local Indigenous history.
